James began his career at Teegardin as an intern during his last two years at St. Edward’s University, and upon graduation he was hired as a full time Staff Accountant. He performs major components of full-cycle accounting and has taken a special interest in oil and gas accounting and taxation, serving a number of clients in the energy and petroleum industry. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Ed’s in May of 2013 with a BBA in Accounting. While there, James received the Texas Society of CPAs Award for Accounting Excellence, commending him for his academic performance and ethics. He also served as an undergraduate, microeconomics teaching-assistant and worked in the school’s computer labs, diagnosing and fixing various problems with technology.
Before going to school in Austin, James grew up in north Texas and graduated from the Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas, a school of which he is a proud and active alumnus. His hobbies include cycling, sailing, traveling and studying foreign languages.
